We are excited to once again offer our Virtual Mascot Camp this summer representing the NCA, UCA, and USA brands! This camp continues to be a great opportunity for mascots and mascot coaches to develop skills, build confidence, and gain valuable knowledge heading into the school year. The virtual camp will be instructed by Maddy Whitley, who will be returning for her third consecutive year leading this experience. Maddy has done an outstanding job creating an engaging and educational environment for participants, and we are thrilled to have her back again this summer. Camp Times Each Day: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Instructor Information: Maddy Whitley maddywhitley2002@gmail.com Maddy will also be included on the informational email sent directly to coaches prior to each virtual session. Below is the overall camp schedule and format should customers have questions regarding the structure or scope of the virtual: DAY ONE 10:00 AM – Introductions - Meet your Mascot Instructor 10:30 AM – Mascot Rules and Safety -Guidelines for being a mascot 11:15 AM – Character Development -Showcasing your mascot’s personality 11:45 AM – Pantomime -How to communicate without speaking 12:00 PM – Lunch 1:00 PM – Prop 101 -Introduction to mascot props and usage 2:00 PM – Skit Building - How to create and build effective skits 2:30 PM – Wrap Up - Q&A Session 3:00 PM – End of Day One DAY TWO 10:00 AM – Knowledge Check - Reviewing material from Day One 10:30 AM – Working with People - Interacting with kids, crowds, and audiences 11:00 AM – Caring and Cleaning Your Mascot - Proper care and maintenance of mascot uniforms 11:15 AM – Game Day and Appearances - Performance expectations and appearance preparation 12:00 PM – Lunch 1:00 PM – Mascot Antics and Improv - Learning to perform continuously and think on the spot 2:00 PM – Brainstorming for the School Year - Generating ideas and strategies for the upcoming season 2:30 PM – Wrap Up - Q&A Session 3:00 PM – End of Camp
